This artwork by Igor Makarevich achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2008. In the Russian Paintings auction, the work without title sold for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,357.77) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igor Makarevich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Liberty, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 29,300.00 (€ 38,323.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Igor Makarevich erzielte im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Paintings wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.357,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Igor Makarevich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Liberty beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für GBP 29.300,00 (€ 38.323,25) versteigert wurde.
