Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Contemporary Sale, which included the work Metallic Objects by Igor Makarevich. It changed hands for a price of GBP 14,900.00 (€ 18,718.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igor Makarevich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Liberty, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 29,300.00 (€ 38,323.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Contemporary Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Metallic Objects von Igor Makarevich zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 14.900,00 (€ 18.718,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Igor Makarevich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Liberty beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für GBP 29.300,00 (€ 38.323,25) versteigert wurde.
