Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Russian Diptych, 1994 by Igor Makarevich was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 6,824.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Igor Makarevich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Liberty in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 29,300.00 (€ 38,323.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Russian Diptych, 1994 von Igor Makarevich kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 6.824,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Igor Makarevich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Liberty im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 29.300,00 (€ 38.323,25).
