Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Igor Makarevich achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2008. In the Russian Contemporary Sale auction, the work without title sold for GBP 14,900.00 (€ 18,718.10) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igor Makarevich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Liberty, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 29,300.00 (€ 38,323.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Igor Makarevich erzielte im März 2008 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Contemporary Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 14.900,00 (€ 18.718,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Igor Makarevich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Liberty beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für GBP 29.300,00 (€ 38.323,25) versteigert wurde.
