The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,699.89) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ignacio Zuloaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spanish madame Souty Reclinada En Un Sofa (Madame Souty) in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 713,250.00 (€ 832,646.34).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Viejo torero von Ignacio Zuloaga wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.699,89) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ignacio Zuloaga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spanish madame Souty Reclinada En Un Sofa (Madame Souty) im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 713.250,00 (€ 832.646,34).
