The work Mtn Ero by Ibrahim Mahama was sold in the Modern and Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2019. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,898.03), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ibrahim Mahama - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ghanaianchale Wote, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 85,391.64).

Die Arbeit Mtn Ero von Ibrahim Mahama wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.898,03) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ibrahim Mahama mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ghanaianchale Wote beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 85.391,64) versteigert wurde.
