Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Untitled - Kama Sutra Series by Ibrahim Hussein. The price achieved of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 80,904.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 600,000.00 – 900,000.00. Other works by Ibrahim Hussein have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2014 the work Unknown was auctioned for HKD 1,120,000.00 (€ 105,923.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled - Kama Sutra Series von Ibrahim Hussein zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 80.904,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 600.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Ibrahim Hussein konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2014 die Arbeit Unknown für HKD 1.120.000,00 (€ 105.923,75) versteigert.
