Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ibrahim Hussein could be acquired at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction, this work without title changed hands for HKD 38,250.00 (€ 4,583.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ibrahim Hussein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unknown in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,120,000.00 (€ 105,923.75).
