Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Australian Standing Figures by Ian Fairweather was sold in the Important Paintings auction at Sothebys in Sydney in April 2008. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 320,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 324,000.00 (€ 196,027.49). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ian Fairweather - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Beach At Manicahan, which sold at auction in April 2008 for AUD 960,000.00 (€ 580,822.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Australian Standing Figures von Ian Fairweather wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Important Paintings bei Sothebys in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 320.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 324.000,00 (€ 196.027,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ian Fairweather mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Beach At Manicahan beobachtet, die im April 2008 für AUD 960.000,00 (€ 580.822,20) versteigert wurde.
