Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Factory by Ian Davis was auctioned at Christies in Paris in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,470.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ian Davis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Galleons, which sold at auction in October 2018 for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,860.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Factory von Ian Davis kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.470,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ian Davis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Galleons beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.860,75) versteigert wurde.
