Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Iain MacNab could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations auction, the work Seated female Nude changed hands for GBP 58.75 (€ 90.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Iain MacNab achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Deya, Majorca in February 2013 with an auction result of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,177.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Iain MacNab konnte im Dezember 2002 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations wechselte die Arbeit Seated female Nude für GBP 58,75 (€ 90,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Iain MacNab erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Deya, Majorca im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.177,92).
