Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calvi Bay, Corsica by Iain MacNab was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 350.00 (€ 442.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Iain MacNab have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Deya, Majorca in February 2013 with an auction result of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,177.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calvi Bay, Corsica von Iain MacNab kam im Juni 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 350,00 (€ 442,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Iain MacNab auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Deya, Majorca im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.177,92).
