This artwork by Iain MacNab achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2000. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Houses in Cassis, South of France sold for GBP 446.50 (€ 747.13) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iain MacNab - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Deya, Majorca, which sold at auction in February 2013 for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,177.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Iain MacNab erzielte im September 2000 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Houses in Cassis, South of France für GBP 446,50 (€ 747,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Iain MacNab mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Deya, Majorca beobachtet, die im Februar 2013 für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.177,92) versteigert wurde.
