Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Caribbean Port by Iain MacNab was sold in the British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings auction at Christies in London in March 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 537.75 (€ 804.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iain MacNab - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Deya, Majorca, which sold at auction in February 2013 for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,177.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Caribbean Port von Iain MacNab wurde im März 2004 in der Auktion British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 537,75 (€ 804,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Iain MacNab mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Deya, Majorca beobachtet, die im Februar 2013 für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.177,92) versteigert wurde.
