Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Iain MacMillan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in November 2009. In the Music auction, the work The Beatles, Abbey Road sold for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,891.77) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iain MacMillan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Beatles, Abbey Road, 1969, which sold at auction in March 2020 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,584.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Iain MacMillan erzielte im November 2009 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Music wurde die Arbeit The Beatles, Abbey Road für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 8.891,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Iain MacMillan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Beatles, Abbey Road, 1969 beobachtet, die im März 2020 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.584,10) versteigert wurde.
