The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,558.07), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iain MacMillan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Beatles, Abbey Road, 1969, which sold at auction in March 2020 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,584.10).

Die Arbeit The Beatles, 'Abbey Road', 1969 von Iain MacMillan wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion British. Cool. bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.287,50 (€ 9.558,07) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Iain MacMillan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Beatles, Abbey Road, 1969 beobachtet, die im März 2020 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.584,10) versteigert wurde.
