Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Handsworth Park) by Hurvin Anderson was auctioned at Phillips in London in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,337,250.00 (€ 1,585,460.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hurvin Anderson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Audition in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 7,369,000.00 (€ 8,730,274.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Handsworth Park) von Hurvin Anderson kam im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.337.250,00 (€ 1.585.460,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hurvin Anderson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Audition im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.369.000,00 (€ 8.730.274,76).
