Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hurvin Anderson could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the British Art: The Jubilee Auction auction, the work 21st Feb 71 changed hands for GBP 1,063,500.00 (€ 1,235,484.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hurvin Anderson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Audition in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 7,369,000.00 (€ 8,730,274.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hurvin Anderson konnte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British Art: The Jubilee Auction wechselte die Arbeit 21st Feb 71 für GBP 1.063.500,00 (€ 1.235.484,48) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hurvin Anderson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Audition im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.369.000,00 (€ 8.730.274,76).
