Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Workman At Bench; A Study For Workman (Recto) And Fire of London (Verso) by Humphrey Jennings was sold in the 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings auction at Christies in London in July 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 780.00 (€ 1,141.83). Admittedly, works by Humphrey Jennings have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tableau Parisien in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,128.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Workman At Bench; A Study For Workman (Recto) And Fire of London (Verso) von Humphrey Jennings wurde im Juli 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 780,00 (€ 1.141,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Humphrey Jennings auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tableau Parisien im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.128,15).
