A top price for Humphrey Jennings
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction The Poetry of Crisis; The Peter Nahum Collection of British Surrealist and Avant-Garde Art 1930-1951, which included the work Tableau Parisien by Humphrey Jennings. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,128.15), 60% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Tableau Parisien the most expensive artwork by Humphrey Jennings that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Poetry of Crisis; The Peter Nahum Collection of British Surrealist and Avant-Garde Art 1930-1951 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tableau Parisien von Humphrey Jennings zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.128,15) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
