Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Sketch for Portrait of Edward Lear by Humphrey Jennings for GBP 375.00 (€ 456.03). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Humphrey Jennings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tableau Parisien in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,128.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sketch for Portrait of Edward Lear von Humphrey Jennings für GBP 375,00 (€ 456,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Humphrey Jennings erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tableau Parisien im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.128,15).
