In June 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Smoke No.1 by Humphrey Jennings. The result of GBP 500.00 (€ 608.05) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Humphrey Jennings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tableau Parisien in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,128.15).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Smoke No.1 von Humphrey Jennings zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 500,00 (€ 608,05) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Humphrey Jennings erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tableau Parisien im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.128,15).
