Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Red Plough by Humphrey Jennings was sold in the 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings auction at Christies in London in July 2006. It changed hands for a price of GBP 660.00 (€ 966.16) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Humphrey Jennings have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tableau Parisien in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,128.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Red Plough von Humphrey Jennings wurde im Juli 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 966,16) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Humphrey Jennings auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tableau Parisien im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.128,15).
