Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Odalisque by Humphrey Jennings was sold in the 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings auction at Christies in London in July 2006. The price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,229.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Admittedly, works by Humphrey Jennings have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tableau Parisien in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,128.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Odalisque von Humphrey Jennings wurde im Juli 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.229,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Humphrey Jennings auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tableau Parisien im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.128,15).
