Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Thoughts Of The Future by Hugues Merle for USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,859.52). This price was achieved in the auction European Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hugues Merle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Hamlet And Ophelia in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 267,780.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Thoughts Of The Future von Hugues Merle für USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.859,52) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion European Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hugues Merle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Hamlet And Ophelia im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 267.780,63).
