Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French a Rare Beauty by Hugues Merle was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2013. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,033.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hugues Merle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Hamlet And Ophelia in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 267,780.63).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.033,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
