Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Medusa: Exodus by Hughie O'Donoghue was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 20,160.00 (€ 22,229.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hughie O'Donoghue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Owl Run in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 110,085.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Medusa: Exodus von Hughie O'Donoghue kam im September 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 20.160,00 (€ 22.229,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hughie O'Donoghue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Owl Run im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 110.085,42).
