Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Doolough: Lake of the Sandbanks by Hughie O'Donoghue was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June last year. It achieved a price of GBP 24,225.00 (€ 28,142.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hughie O'Donoghue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Owl Run, which sold at auction in November 2019 for GBP 93,750.00 (€ 110,085.42).

Die Arbeit Doolough: Lake of the Sandbanks von Hughie O'Donoghue kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 24.225,00 (€ 28.142,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Für andere Arbeiten von Hughie O'Donoghue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Owl Run beobachtet, die im November 2019 für GBP 93.750,00 (€ 110.085,42) versteigert wurde.
