Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Ireland / France: Art & Literature, which included the work Crows Above a Grainfield: Dusk by Hughie O'Donoghue. The price achieved of EUR 18,900.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hughie O'Donoghue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Owl Run in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 110,085.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Ireland / France: Art & Literature durch, in der auch die Arbeit Crows Above a Grainfield: Dusk von Hughie O'Donoghue zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 18.900,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hughie O'Donoghue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Owl Run im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 110.085,42).
