Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Yachts At Sea by Hugh Boycott Brown for GBP 375.00 (€ 421.17). This price was achieved in the auction Yellow Ball: The Frank and Lorna Dunphy Collection Online at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hugh Boycott Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Suffolk Windmill; Morning At Pin Mill in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,698.37).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hugh Boycott Brown erzielen.
