Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Yachts in an estuary by Hugh Boycott Brown for GBP 875.00 (€ 1,099.22). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Hugh Boycott Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Suffolk Windmill; Morning At Pin Mill in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,698.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Yachts in an estuary von Hugh Boycott Brown für GBP 875,00 (€ 1.099,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hugh Boycott Brown auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Suffolk Windmill; Morning At Pin Mill im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.698,37).
