Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Square Figure by Hubert Dalwood. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,979.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hubert Dalwood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tree, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,680.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Square Figure von Hubert Dalwood zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.979,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hubert Dalwood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tree beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.680,84) versteigert wurde.
