This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hubert Dalwood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tree, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,680.84).
