In May 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy Including Property from the Chokaido Museum Collection, which included the work River Alongside Mountains by Huang Yue. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,729.66), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Yue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in April 2018 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 42,206.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy Including Property from the Chokaido Museum Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit River Alongside Mountains von Huang Yue zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.729,66) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Yue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im April 2018 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 42.206,39) versteigert wurde.
