Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Autumn Landscape by Huang Yue was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 28,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,133.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Yue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in April 2018 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 42,206.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Autumn Landscape von Huang Yue kam im September 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 28.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.133,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Yue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im April 2018 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 42.206,39) versteigert wurde.
