A top price for Huang Yue
When the work Calligraphy by Huang Yue was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 80,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at HKD 400,000.00 (€ 42,206.39). This high result makes Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Huang Yue that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Huang Yue
Als die Arbeit Calligraphy von Huang Yue im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 80.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 400.000,00 (€ 42.206,39) mehr als fünfmal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Calligraphy zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Huang Yue, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
