Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Mountain Scenes by Huang Yi was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. The auction ended at the price of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,310.12), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Yi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heading North by Boat in Spring in April last year with an auction result of HKD 756,000.00 (€ 91,405.90).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Mountain Scenes von Huang Yi wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.310,12) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Yi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heading North by Boat in Spring im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 756.000,00 (€ 91.405,90).
