Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Huang Yi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,447.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Huang Yi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heading North by Boat in Spring in April last year with an auction result of HKD 756,000.00 (€ 91,405.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Huang Yi kam im Mai 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.447,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Yi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heading North by Boat in Spring im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 756.000,00 (€ 91.405,90).
