This artwork by Huang Rui achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2021. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work Xiao Xiao No.3 sold for USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,916.04) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Rui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New Woman in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,340,000.00 (€ 119,869.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Rui erzielte im März 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia wurde die Arbeit Xiao Xiao No.3 für USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.916,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Rui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New Woman im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.340.000,00 (€ 119.869,23).
