Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Huang Qiuyuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Returning with Qin sold for HKD 75,600.00 (€ 8,975.34) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Qiuyuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,888,000.00 (€ 207,796.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Qiuyuan erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Returning with Qin für HKD 75.600,00 (€ 8.975,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Qiuyuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.888.000,00 (€ 207.796,70).
