Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reading Under the Pine Tree by Huang Qiuyuan was auctioned at POLY in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 82,600.00 (€ 9,441.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Qiuyuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,888,000.00 (€ 207,796.70).

Die Arbeit Reading Under the Pine Tree von Huang Qiuyuan kam im Oktober 2019 bei POLY zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 82.600,00 (€ 9.441,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Qiuyuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.888.000,00 (€ 207.796,70).
