This artwork by Huang Ming-Che achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Man in Castle sold for HKD 680,000.00 (€ 62,098.26) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 360,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Ming-Che - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pose, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 1,807,500.00 (€ 148,805.11).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Ming-Che erzielte im Mai 2009 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Man in Castle für HKD 680.000,00 (€ 62.098,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 360.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Ming-Che mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pose beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 1.807.500,00 (€ 148.805,11) versteigert wurde.
