In October last year China Guardian held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Moon Variation (Quadruplet)(Painted in 2017-2018) by Benrei Huang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 360,000.00 (€ 46,132.47), 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Benrei Huang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Theory of Leisure: Social Distancing Edition in April this year with an auction result of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 269,595.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte China Guardian die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moon Variation (Quadruplet)(Painted in 2017-2018) von Benrei Huang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 360.000,00 (€ 46.132,47) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Benrei Huang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Theory of Leisure: Social Distancing Edition im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 269.595,65).
