This artwork by Hu Peiheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Conversation by the River sold for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 6,502.02) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hu Peiheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hermit Dwelling In The Mountain, which sold at auction in October 2012 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,666.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hu Peiheng erzielte im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Conversation by the River für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 6.502,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hu Peiheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hermit Dwelling In The Mountain beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 18.666,08) versteigert wurde.
