The work Hermit Dwelling In The Mountain by Hu Peiheng was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,666.08), 56% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Hermit Dwelling In The Mountain the most expensive artwork by Hu Peiheng that we have observed at auctions so far.
