Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Bowling by Howard Pyle. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 15,817.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Howard Pyle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Here, André! A Spy! in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 97,000.00 (€ 66,040.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bowling von Howard Pyle zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 15.817,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Howard Pyle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Here, André! A Spy! im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 97.000,00 (€ 66.040,31).
