Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2015 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Troops Entering Ponce by Howard Chandler Christy. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,958.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Howard Chandler Christy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nudes At The Beach in February 2017 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 87,777.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Troops Entering Ponce von Howard Chandler Christy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.958,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Howard Chandler Christy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nudes At The Beach im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 87.777,83).
