This artwork by Howard Chandler Christy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in May this year. In the American Art auction, the work Happy Motoring (The Happy Ending) sold for USD 14,080.00 (€ 13,215.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Howard Chandler Christy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nudes At The Beach in February 2017 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 87,777.83).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Howard Chandler Christy erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Happy Motoring (The Happy Ending) für USD 14.080,00 (€ 13.215,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Howard Chandler Christy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nudes At The Beach im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 87.777,83).
