Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work I Want You For The Navy by Howard Chandler Christy for GBP 500.00 (€ 615.95). This price was achieved in the auction Vintage Posters at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Howard Chandler Christy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nudes At The Beach in February 2017 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 87,777.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit I Want You For The Navy von Howard Chandler Christy für GBP 500,00 (€ 615,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Vintage Posters bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Howard Chandler Christy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nudes At The Beach im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 87.777,83).
