Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Near The River Tay by Horatio McCulloch was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,310.49). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Horatio McCulloch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kilchurn Castle, Loch Awe in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 286,000.00 (€ 264,032.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Near The River Tay von Horatio McCulloch kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.310,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Horatio McCulloch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kilchurn Castle, Loch Awe im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 286.000,00 (€ 264.032,50).
